BENGALURU: The weather department has made a forecast of heavy rainfall for most parts of Karnataka, including Bengaluru, till November 24.
Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, and Udupi besides the hilly regions of Shivamogga, Kodagu, and Hasan districts are likely to witness heavy rain.
South Karnataka districts of Mandya, Ramnagar, Mysuru, Tumakuru, north Karnataka districts of Vijayapura and Haveri are also likely to receive showers.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday had predicted rain in the next 48 hours till the cyclonic system over the Bay of Bengal weakens further.
“In the next 24 hours, there will be rain at isolated places in the state. Tomorrow I am expecting rainfall to increase in the South Interior areas of Karnataka in 16 districts, starting from Ballari and Davangere to Chamarajanagar,” the IMD Bengaluru Director, Geeta Agnihotri had told PTI.
The IMD recorded 19 degree minimum and around 24 degree maximum temperature in Mysuru on Wednesday at 8.30am.
