iPhone 15 could be a big deal in 2023! Wait for it, skip the iPhone 14 now

The iPhone 15 leaks have presented a massive upgrade over 2022’s iPhone 14 and here is how it shapes up.

The iPhone 14 hasn’t truly got people excited and hence, the focus now shifts to the iPhone 15 – its successor that is expected to launch later in 2023. Leaks and rumours are already revealing a lot of upgrades Apple is expected to shower on the standard iPhone 15. A new design, a new rear camera, and a new chip could make many go in on the temptation and get the iPhone 15 standard model. Hence, while Apple takes its sweet time developing the iPhone 15 over the coming months, we take a look at what we can expect in September 2023.

iPhone 15 standard variant upgrades to wait for

While Apple is still expected to stick to the usual 60Hz refresh rate OLED display, the notch could finally bid us goodbye this year. Apple is rumoured to bring the Dynamic Island treatment to all iPhone 15 models as a standard feature. This shall allow for enhanced feature set and productivity on the iPhone 15. From quick shortcuts to tracking food delivery, this could be a big reason for many to upgrade to the iPhone 15.

Main camera

Not sure which
mobile to buy?

Fresh leak suggests that the iPhone 15 will get a 48MP camera sensor for its main rear camera. This is a big deal considering the advantages we saw with the 48MP camera on the iPhone 14 Pro. More details to play with and better low light photography on the main camera, and some kind of digital cropping based zoom. Sadly, it will be a dual camera setup only.

New Chipset

Rumours suggest Apple giving the iPhone 15 the 4nm A16 Bionic chip from the iPhone 14 Pro. While this may not be as fast and cutting edge as the rumoured 3nm A17 Bionic, it could allow for just enough performance boost needed for iPhone 15 buyers. Mind you, the A16 Bionic is a fast chip with excellent power efficiency performance.

USB-C charging port

The iPhone 15 could finally bring the universally accepted USB-C charging port. A USB-C port allows you to use any charger to fill up the battery, and makes for easy compatibility with most modern laptops and PCs. Sadly, Apple could restrict it to USB 2.0 speeds, which is the same as the Lightning port’s speeds.
