Man held with tiger & leopard skins in Boudh | Bhubaneswar News


SAMBALPUR: The special task force (STF) of the state Crime Branch on Wednesday arrested a man in Boudh district and seized skins of a tiger and a leopard. The accused was identified as Himalaya Das of Olanda village under Boudh town police station.
On the basis of reliable information, a team of STF with the help of forest officials of Boudh district conducted a raid at Saluki bridge under Boudh town police station and arrested Himalaya. During the search, the STF team seized one tiger skin and one leopard skin besides other incriminating articles from him.
The STF has registered a case under sections 379 (punishment for theft), 411 (dishonestly receiving stolen property) and 120 (B) (party to criminal conspiracy) of the IPC besides section 51 of Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, against the accused.
