Kodanad Case: Kodanad Case: Ex-IPS Officer’s Son Questioned | Latest News | Coimbatore News

Coimbatore: A businessman from Chennai, who is the son of a retired IPS officer, appeared before the special investigation team (SIT) of the Crime Branch-CID police on Tuesday in connection with the Kodanad heist cum murder case.
The SIT team is investigating the death of Kanagaraj, who was the driver of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa.
The businessman, G Sivakumar, 54, who runs a textile company in Tirupur, had reported the accident in which Kanagaraj died, to the 108-ambulance service.
Kanagaraj, who was the prime accused in the Kodanad heist cum murder case, died in an accident at Attur in Salem district on April 28, 2017.
Sivakumar appeared before the SIT on the Police Recruits School (PRS) premises in the city on Tuesday morning. He was questioned for more than an hour.

Meanwhile, Vijay has started working on his next film, ‘Thalapathy 68’, directed by Venkat Prabhu.
