Such crimes not only destroy an individual's life but also have a deep impact on the entire family and society. Child sexual abuse is a crime that seriously affects the mental and physical development of the child.

The accused, who lived in a rented house in Malappuram, committed the biggest crime on his own step daughter. When his wife went out for work, he would torture his innocent daughter. He threatened the girl not to tell anything to anyone. This destruction of trust in the family is the biggest blow to a child. Where a child should get protection and love, he had to face the greatest sorrow.

But the girl showed courage. She confided her ordeal to her close friend, who stepped forward and helped her tell the truth to her mother. This courage exposed a major crime. This was extraordinary courage of the girl. Many victimized children hide their pain due to fear and shame, but this girl decided to speak the truth.

Judiciary's decision
Understanding the seriousness of this case, Manjeri POCSO court gave a historic decision. The accused was sentenced to 141 years rigorous imprisonment and a heavy fine of Rs 7,85,000. The presenting party explained the entire incident through 12 witnesses and 24 important documents.
This verdict is not only a symbol of justice in this case but also a warning to other potential criminals.

After the incident, the girl was shifted to Nirbhaya Home, where she was provided protection and counselling. This step was important to protect his mental and physical health.
