Dehradun: A case of murder of a property dealer under suspicious circumstances has come to light in Yamunotri Enclave Colony of Patel Nagar area of ​​the capital on Saturday morning. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot, took possession of the body and started investigation. The deceased has been identified as Manjesh Kamboj (41), resident of Biharigarh, Saharanpur.
Came to Dehradun to meet a friend
According to the police, Manjesh Kamboj had come to Dehradun on Friday to meet his friend. Both the friends worked in property dealing and Manjesh's friend lived in a rented house in Yamunotri Enclave Colony. On Saturday morning the landlord found the door of the room closed. When the door did not open even after knocking repeatedly, they peeked inside and found Manjesh's body lying in the room. As soon as the landlord saw this, he immediately informed the police.
Suspicion of strangulation with shoe lace
Patelnagar Kotwali in-charge Kamal Singh said that in the preliminary investigation it appears that Manjesh was murdered by strangulation with a shoe lace. The clear reason for the murder will be known after the post mortem report comes. The police team reached the spot, searched the room and interrogated the people nearby. Police are now scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area so that the suspect can be identified.
Awaiting post mortem report
The body has been sent for post-mortem. The police is investigating the case from every aspect and the family of the deceased is also being contacted. This incident is creating an atmosphere of panic in the area. Police are claiming to crack the case soon
