MONTPELIER — State and local officials will take part in a roundtable discussion Wednesday in the Capital City focused on flood resiliency.
According to a news release, the Winooski Flood Resilience Roundtable will take place at Noble Hall at the Greenway Institute, formerly known as the Vermont College of Fine Arts, starting at 6 p.m.

The event will see local and state officials discuss strengthening connections among the towns of the watershed and identifying ways to collaborate to reduce flood damage and improve resilience in the face of the increase in precipitation the state is experiencing. It will include breakout group discussions, as well as a full-group discussion.
This event is being initiated by a planning committee which includes the State Recovery Office, Central Vermont and Chittenden County Regional Planning Commissions, Friends of the Winooski, Montpelier Commission for Recovery and Resilience, Cabot Flood Resiliency Task Force, the state Department of Environmental Conservation, Vermont River Conservancy, and the Winooski Natural Resources Conservation District.
