Dehradun. A case of cheating of crores has come to light with the daughter, actress and producer of former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. It is alleged that two Mumbai film producers, Mansi Varun Bagla and Varun Pramod Kumar Bagla, cheated four crore rupees in the name of the lead role in the film and in the name of investment. In Dehradun Kotwali, a case has been registered against the accused and the police has started investigating. Film producers contacted Aarushi and told that they are making a film called “Aankh Ki Gustakhian”, which will feature Shanaya Kapoor and Vikrant Massey in the lead roles.

According to the information received, the film producers, Mansi Varun Bagla and Varun Pramod Kumar Bagla also offered an important role to Aarushi in this film, but for this, the condition of investment of five crore rupees was given. Aarushi deposited four crore rupees in different installments. The accused assured that they would get 20% of the earnings from the film. Also, it was also said that if the script is not liked, then the amount invested will be returned with 15% interest. Also said that the money will be returned three times after the role.

Took 4 crores in 1 month, MoU was also signed
Aarushi found this proposal attractive, and on 9 October 2024, an MoU was signed between Himshree Films and Mini Films. After this, on 10 October, he gave two crore rupees as the first installment. Then, by making different pressure and excuses, one crore was taken on November 19, 25 lakhs on October 27, and 75 lakh rupees on 30 October.

Refusal to return money, threats
Even after the passage of time, when the film production did not move forward, Aarushi asked for his money back. On this, the accused not only refused to return the money, but also threatened to trap in false cases and kill them. On the complaint of Aarushi, the Dehradun police have registered a case against the accused in various sections and started investigation. SSP Ajay Singh said that strict action will be taken against the accused in view of the seriousness of the case. Significantly, Aarushi Nishank is an actress, filmmaker and environmentalist. He has recently acted in the film “Tarini” and is also the co-founder of Sparsh Ganga Abhiyan. The case of this fraud has raised questions about investment in the film industry.
