Kanpur News: Kanpur ACP Mohsin Khan was suspended on charges of rape from PhD scholar. The student lodged a complaint three months ago. Action was taken after writing a letter to the DGP.

Kanpur: Mohsin Khan, ACP of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, was suspended. He is accused of rape from Kanpur IIT’s PhD scholar. Three months ago, on 12 December 2024, the student lodged a complaint against the ACP. After that ACP Mohsin was attached to the line. The victim also wrote a complaint letter to DGP Prashant Kumar. In which he alleged that action was not being taken against him due to being uniform. Now the suspension was done on the basis of the report of the police commissioner.

Significantly, 7 days ago, the victim student wrote a letter to DGP Prashant Kumar. It was written in it- The accused is a khaki uniform. Because of this, he was not arrested. No departmental action was taken against him. He arrested the High Court and took a stay on the charge sheet. The student had said that- I will continue the fight till the last moment, I will be punished by punishing the accused. Due to the accused ACP, not only my career was affected, but I have to go through mental depression. The hearing is on 20 March. I will keep my side firmly, so that the stay on arresting and charge sheet can be rejected.

When the student lodged a complaint
The student had filed a case against ACP Mohsin at Kalyanpur police station on 12 December 2024. In which it was written that he cheated on me. The student said that Mohsin wants to do PhD in her guide and she met in IIT Kanpur. After that, Kanpur took admission in IIT and told that I am not married. Then the student was physically exploited by implicating it in a love trap. Later, when he came to know about being married, he said that he was going to separate from his wife, but in the meantime, the news of his father becoming revealed that he was lying. After which the victim filed a case against the ACP.

Have been disputed before
Mohsin Khan is originally from Lucknow. Is PPS officer of the year 2013. On 1 July 2015, police service was joined. He was also posted in Agra and Aligarh for three years. After which he was posted in Kanpur in December 2023. Let me tell you that Mohsin has an old relationship with controversies. He was given the responsibility of security of Taj in Agra. During that time, he was also accused of commissioning Khori. After which he was removed from there.
