New Delhi . Special Staff Police Team of Dwarka district in Delhi arrested the kingpin of Rajasthan-based inter-state illegal arms supplier gang under the ‘No Gun-No Gang’ campaign.
The arrested accused has been identified as Aas Mohammad alias deaf, who is a resident of Rajasthan. Police have recovered five indigenous pistols and five live cartridges of 315 bore from the possession of the accused.
DCP Ankit Singh of Dwarka said that there are already eight cases registered against the accused under the Arms Act in Rajasthan and Haryana. A team of Special Staff was formed to arrest the arms suppliers. A campaign was conducted under the leadership of ACP Ram Avatar, including Inspector Vishvendra Dhaka, ASI Rashmuddin, Head Constable Bachu Singh, Dev Prakash, Ajay and Constable Parminder.
The DCP said that with the help of Technical Surveillance and Local Intelligence, the team detected the location of the accused Aas Mohammad and arrested him from the dirty Nala area (Madhu Vihar). During the search, 5 indigenous pistols and 5 live cartridges were recovered from him.
He said that during interrogation, the accused revealed that he used to supply illegal weapons to several gangs in Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. He has already been arrested eight times in Rajasthan and Haryana. At present, a case under the Arms Act has been registered against the accused and taken into custody and further action is on.
Please tell that earlier the police of Dwarka Southern police station caught the accused of stealing the bag of foreign woman within 24 hours. On April 14, a post from DCP Dwarka X handle said, “The team of Dwarka Southern Police Station took immediate action and caught a thief within 24 hours. The thief who stolen a foreign woman’s bag has been involved in 13 criminal cases in the past. 2 smartphones stolen from the accused, cards linked to bank account, 8100 cash and other items were recovered.”
