Deputy Inspector General of Police cum Superintendent of Police Sharad Chaudhary said that on Sunday, Haji Farooq Bhati’s hotel was raided on Fatehpur bypass by CO Rural Hari Singh Dhayal and SHO Mandawa Ramnivas Maya Team and Cyber Police and Cyber Cell, SP Office. Where 10 youths and 03 women were found cheating cyber on laptops and other electronic means.
The said accused get calls on the micro SIP app of social media, Microsoft facing problems related to Microsoft. On receiving the call, he calls himself a Microsoft employee and location of Washington, asking to remove various problems related to Microsoft in his Compatur system and download the ultra viewer app in his system and scan his computer.
Due to the app, his computer access is transferred to the call supervisor from the Ibim app. The supervisor is stealing the data of foreign nationals facing the problem and framed cyber in various ways.
The police have found apps related to ultra viewer, micro sip, X-light, Ibim, change Mac address etc. in the laptops found near them, which are related to remote control, call transfer and make ID changes. These gangs use TBO VPN to use foreign IP. In this way, these gangs take access to the system of foreign nationals facing problems and get their bank details and cheat them. A case has been registered against the accused under various sections of BNS and IT Act.
Intensive research is going on in intensively regarding how much amount has been cheated by the arrested accused and their associates so far. Constable Vikram Singh of Thana Mandawa played a special role in this action.
